Museo Hermann Hesse in Montagnola (Switzerland)

On our way to Tuscany, we stopped in a small town in Switzerland called Montagnola. It's a bit up the hill from the lago di Lugano and hosts the Hermann Hesse Museum since 1997.

The museum was established in the rooms of the Torre Camuzzi -this ancient tower is part of the picturesque Casa Camuzzi where Hermann Hesse lived between 1919 and 1931. From his apartment, he had a marvellous view overlooking the lake of Lugano.

It is definitely worth a visit: www.hessemontagnola.ch
