Sicily for the first time
As you already know, when going on vacation I like to take pictures of the things that are not really the regular, typical sights (like the to-do-list of things you have to see while you're there - I've taken some of these photos but you won't see them here - well, ... there are always exceptions ;) ). Instead I try to capture the things that make this region/country so special for me. So here you go... Enjoy!

The next picture I think needs a bit more explanation - we went on a hike underneath the Etna across some of the lava fields (from Piano dei Grilli to Monte Arso and Monte Rosso both former craters - alltogether a 20km tour). Although the lava fields looked pretty fresh to me, they are quite old indeed (from the 18th century)!

Since we only stayed for a week, we didn't get a chance to see much of the west of the island. So next time we'll have to come back for Palermo and the big wineries in this part of Sicily!

Hey Maya! I know, I'm usually faster telling you about our trips than uploading my photos - sorry... :) Thanks for coming back to leave a comment!
