"Kulinarische Weinprobe" in Kiedrich

Last weekend we went to a so-called "culinary wine tasting" meaning you get really good food while tasting several wines of a winery. Two friends of ours were the "chefs" for the tasting and I think everyone agreed that they did a great job. I just forgot to take a photo of the main course. Here is the menu (in German and English):

Cremesuppe vom Riesling-Sauerkraut mit Nuss - Croutons
Riesling-Sauerkraut creme soup with nut croutons

Feldsalat mit warmen Ziegenkäsetalern
Field salad with warm goat cheese (marinated with honey!)

Zwiebel-Balsamico-Blutwurst im Wirsingmantel
Onion-balsamico-blood sausage in savoy cabbage

Filet vom Schwein auf Bratkartoffel-Rosenkohl-Bett
Pork filet on a potato-brussels sprout-bed

Dreierlei vom Pfannenkuchen mit süßem Kern
Three kinds of pancakes with sweet inside

The wines were really good as well! To find out more about the winery, check out their website:

Hi Nicola,

"Culinary wine tasting" sounds great! I used to do "Wine paring" along with the course menu. But This is even more special since your friends were chefs for your meals. Yammy..

Mari - hey, it's good to see you here. I'm so sorry that I haven't replied to your email yet. Will do it right after I've finished writing this coment :).

Maya - Yeah, you're right, I'm having a hard timeposting regularly at the moment. I'll try to get better... Maybe next time you guys come we'll see if they have another "culinary wine tasting" set up. :)

Karine - yes, it was in one of the neighbor towns in the Rheingau. Kiedrich is actually Jochen's hometown where he gew up.
